Agenda
May 21, 2026 Day 1
Federal health agencies are under pressure to modernize data ecosystems while expanding mission demands across public health, research, and health care delivery. Yet many continue to navigate legacy infrastructure, interoperability gaps, and evolving governance frameworks. What is the current state and what does true “data readiness” require? This panel brings together FedHealth leaders to discuss how agencies align infrastructure investments with intended use cases; address interoperability challenges; strengthen data governance; and responsibly scale and manage patient data. Panelists will also examine whether current data environments are structured, secure, and mature enough to support AI—and whether agencies have fully accounted for the long-term cost of storing, securing, and sustaining enterprise data. For industry partners, understanding agency data maturity is essential to delivering scalable, interoperable, and mission-aligned solutions. This session offers practical insight into the technical, policy, and financial realities shaping federal health data modernization.
Federal health agencies are accelerating the use of automation, AI, and digital platforms to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and deliver enhanced services. But successful technology adoption demands thoughtful workforce planning, engagement, training/upskilling, and ongoing support. This panel will examine how agencies balance cost savings with customer satisfaction, determine when to automate versus augment human decision-making, and successfully manage the operational risks of transformation. Speakers will also discuss what increased technology means for contractors and future contracts. Learn more about the talent and implementation strategies shaping the future of federal health modernization.
Please note that sessions and speakers are subject to change due to the evolving environment within federal government and other circumstances beyond our control. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility.
